Online College Programs
Does anyone know of an online university offering a degree in classics?
I Research in the field of classical Greek and Roman civilization, but I have to do while working around 48 hours a week working. Online courses seem to be the answer, but I can not find a college or university offering the program online.
I just rolled with a repertoire of majors and I could not find a single line of program to offer a bachelor's degree in classics, so I think you have no luck. However, remember that there are many online programs offering a Bachelor of General Studies or the liberal arts, which essentially lets you create your own program. This allows you to establish a program of classical works, or at least something very close to one, without having to make a school in person. Many of these programs are offered by the state universities of good reputation, you're much more likely to find serious scholars classic example University of Phoenix. At least, you should be able to find the history, literature and philosophy courses that could help out. Two of the absolute best in the public online college programs: Charter Oak State College and the University of Maryland – University College. The fact that they are affiliated with public systems and Excellent State University tends to make them much more accountable to students, not to mention affordable. (Moreover, at least with Charter Oak, online learning America is an option through its affiliation with Norwalk Community College, which offers one of the few online programs in Latin countries.) For individuals, Excelsior College, is also notable. These three are still at or near the top online degrees in liberal arts. I am a link their website below to provide some guidance.
